Albert Einstein was born at Ulm, in Württemberg, Germany on 14th of March 1879. A couple of months after his birth, His family moved to Munich where he began his early schooling.
Albert Einstein is famously known for his work in the field of Physics especially related to development in the general theory of relativity. He was one of the most influential physicists of the 20th century.
After finishing his primary school and secondary education.He along with his family shifted to Italy in 1894 and continued his education at Aarau. In 1896, He went to the Swiss Federal Polytechnic School in Zurich where he wanted to learn to teach about Physics and Mathematics. While on a work trip with the family of Professor J.Winteler, he fell in love with the professor’s daughter, Marie. (Albert’s sister later married Winteler’s son Paul).
In 1901, He earned his diploma and had Swiss citizenship but was unable to find a teaching post, he accepted a position as a technical assistant instead at the Swiss Patent Office. In 1905 he completed his doctoral degree.
During his work at the Patent Office, He showcased much of his remarkable work and in 1908 was appointed as Privatdozent in Berne. In 1909 he became the Professor Extraordinary at Zurich and in 1911 Professor of Theoretical Physics in Prague and returning to Zurich in the same year. In 1914 he was appointed as the Director of the Kaiser Wilhelm Physical Institute and a Professor at the University of Berlin. He became a German citizen in 1914 and remained in Berlin for long and married his second wife Elsa in 1919. In 1921, He received a noble prize for his explanation of the photoelectric effect.In the following year, he also shifted to the United States because of being targeted by Nazi’s. In 1933 he took the position of Professor of Theoretical Physics at Princeton University and retired from the university in 1945.
